1> 大于（ > ）

• 【主语】： nothing；
• than : 介词；后面跟名词；

1.2> more convenient

Finding information on the Internet is more convenient than finding books in a library.
To find information on the Internet is more convenient than to find books in a library.
It is more convenient finding information on the Internet than in a library. (省略句)
在网上找资料比在图书馆找书更方便。

• than : 介词；后面跟名词；
• than finding books, 动作比动作；

To eat at home is cheaper than to eat in a restaurant.
It is cheaper to eat at home than to eat in a restaurant.
It is cheaper to eat at home than in a restaurant. (省略句)
在家吃饭比去餐厅便宜。

• at home,
• a restaurant : 所有餐厅；
  the restaurant ： 所有餐厅；

2> 小于 less （ < ）

This gold necklace is less expensive than that one.
This gold necklace is not as expensive as that one.
这条金项链不像那天那样贵。

• little - less - least
  几乎没有， 属于否定词，不与not连用；

3.1> poorer and poorer

As we grow old, our memory becomes poorer and poorer.

• as 连词
• I have a good memory.
  I have a poor memory. // bad 指品质；

• the+ 比较级， 因为是特指这2个戒指，所以比较级前也加the；

• senior: 本身就是比较级；
• to是介词；介词后面用宾语；
• than 可做介词，或连词；
• by 介词， 表差距；
