JCMsuite Application: Oblique Plane Wave Propagation Transmission Through Aperture

This example computes the propagation of an incident plane wave (at oblique angles of incidence) through a separate aperture:

The geometry has transparent boundary conditions in the xy transverse direction.Therefore, for periodic problems, the Fourier transform of the scattered field is no longer discrete.So, the Fourier transform post-processing actually approximates a continuous function in k-space.

In experiments, the far field is usually collected by imaging optics.Post-processing optical imaging allows the description of a general optical imaging system.We demonstrate this with a simple 2X magnification tool with no aberrations.

Coherent images can be computed using Cartesian output post-processing.The image below shows images of different z-direction slices (the image plane is placed along the z-direction) for S-polarized illumination.
